Have You Not Read?
Saturday, September 29th, 2007“For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. And it shall come to pass that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’” (Acts 3: 22, 23)
Just after Peter delivered the second recorded sermon on Solomon’s Porch following the healing of the lame man, he then quoted Moses as found in Deuteronomy 18, as we have just presented to you. You will find this passage also quoted by Stephen in his defense before the Sanhedrin in Acts 7: 37. I refer to it and to the verses we will mention in just a moment often, both in lessons here on this site and in private studies.
