There is a difference between when the events happened and when the writing of the book took place. The point I was hoping to make was that the NLTSB makes clear arguments for the events happening during the Patriarchs while the ESVSB is simply vague. I agree, Rick. It seems implied that the events occur during the Patriarchal age. However, the writing itself has to have been written much later--after the return from Exile based on the way Hebrew vocabulary is used.
