Well, my wife decided to join Facebook and has got me on it, too. There are certainly a sea of people sitting on their computers updating their status and mood every few minutes.

Nothing teaches service, patience, and love than when your children get sick. Cleaning up from their illness makes my stomach sick. But I power through it and overcome because I love them. Jesus saw his sick children and came to us showing service, patience, and love. Cleaning up our sickness hurt him, but it was worth it to him because he loves us.

I am reading through the NLT Discover God Study Bible these days for a review to come soon. So far, so good.

I can’t wait for baseball to get starting. I go through withdrawals with football ends. I need something to unwind to on Sunday afternoons. And just turn left NASCAR does not fit the bill.

I need to preach on marriage and divorce soon. I feel like this a topic that must be revisited and taught every six months or so. We have so many new people come through our doors each year that it is important that the truth of God’s word is clear on the topic. Our world treats marriage and subsequent divorce as inconsequential. But Matthew 19:9 and 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 reveal clear consequences for divorce. We cannot ignore God’s law simply because we may not like it. This is not the time for itching ears.
