When a nation abandons God….

  The PreWW1 Germany/The Weimar(Post WW1 Germany) republic was a nation that abandoned God.  Humanism and atheism were the norm along with militant nationalism and communism.  Many people thought it was fun to dabble in the occult.  These took the place of God in the land that had once given rise to the Protestant reformation.  Children in pre-WW1 Germany and The Weimar republic were indoctrinated by atheists and occultists who (through the education system) used the “Aryan” myth to give people something to worship to take the place of God.  People were taught that the Aryans were the “Master” race and others such as Jews or Blacks were “subhuman.”  In the post WW1 era, the economy in The Weimar (German) economy collapsed.  Severe depression and massive inflation (due to overprinting of money) caused a desire for change.  The money was worthless, people starving and there was the looming war debt that was impossible to pay.  Out of that situation emerged the Nazi or “National Socialist” party. National Socialism was a marriage of total government empowerment with large powerful corporations.  

  That was the world that  short sighted “progressives” like Woodrow Wilson and Neville Chamberlain created using the “League of Nations” in an attempt to create world peace. Desperate Germans felt that a strong leader was needed so that the government would be strong enough to take care of the people.  Rather than turning to God, they turned to Adolph Hitler instead.  Proverbs 14:33 states “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.  History has judged the sin of the Weimar republic/Third Reich very harshly.  There you have a very good example of what happens when nations turn away from God.  So ask yourself do you see any similarities between 1920 Weimar Republic and 2008 U.S.A??
