When Movies Are More Important Than Justice

Brent Kercheville

It is a sad statement concerning the sinfulness and depravity of this world when there is outrage for arresting felon because the world will no longer have new movies produced from said felon. This warped thinking concerning Roman Polanski saddens me. No one thinks about the justice needed for the victim and the victim’s family. All we care about is our own personal entertainment. And friends, making movies is not doing good for the world by any standard.

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and shrewd in their own sight! Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine, and valiant men in mixing strong drink, who acquit the guilty for a bribe, and deprive the innocent of his right! (Isaiah 5:20-23; ESV)
